Multi-stone suite in 9ct yellow gold. This is what can happen when a customer arrives with a wee bag of jewellery that they no longer wear and don’t know what to do with….
There were some lovely colourful stones, a “barion” cut topaz, slightly “muddy” alexandrites, a selection of coloured spinels, some large oval amethysts, a couple of citrines and a few tiny diamonds.
A ring in 9ct yellow and white gold made to set a customer’s family diamonds. I think this one works really well! Every so often I make a piece that I want to keep for myself! I don’t think it was just the size of the diamonds!!
A rather unusual bracelet set with lapis lazuli and rainbow moonstones in 9ct yellow and white gold. A few wee diamonds make it that bit more special.
This was a very challenging ring to make and it is as big as it looks in the photo! Slightly out of my usual design style but it’s good to stretch myself!
This is a ring from my range modified to set a very beautiful deep green tsavourite garnet. Yes, you can get green garnets! I have added a couple of small diamonds to give the ring an extra twinkle.
This is a necklace based on one of my Rosebud range designs. The piece has been made chunkier and the rosebuds were replaced with my heart-shaped leaf design. The chain is made so that the necklace can be worn at different lengths.
This is one of my most versatile ring designs. It seems to lend itself to having stones of different sizes, different orientations and twos, threes or even more! Here it is pictured with amethysts that came out of an unworn piece of jewellery.

And here is one set with a rather sumptious rubellite tourmaline, a interestingly cut tourmaline and two wee but still unusual colour change garnets. More garnets that are not red!!
This is my “Bee” ring, a nod to a great family friend, Nora Creswick who was an Arts & Crafts jeweller who lived and worked in Edinburgh.
I have made a few of them in silver and gold over the years and I have set them with a variety of stones.
This is a recent commission for a lovely couple using stones and metal from grandparents’ jewellery to make their engagement ring. Re-setting diamonds can often make them look much bigger and more sparkly!
A dress ring in 18ct gold for a change! This one set with a pretty blue tanzanite and a pink sapphire with the customer’s diamonds.
Two very nice opals with a good play of colour set beside an unusual brown diamond in a dress ring in 9ct yellow gold.
Another more unusual stone, here a Kyanite, a lovely deep blue – a little softer than a sapphire so not so expensive for a similar size and colour. Two little diamonds add a bit of twinkle to this 9ct gold ring.
